Question 1

What is included in an AZURE yacht charter?

Accepted Answer

Every charter includes a professional bilingual crew, an onboard chef with a freshly curated menu, a premium open bar, complimentary round-trip ground transportation, towels, and WiFi on board. Water toys and gear — snorkel equipment, paddleboards, floating mats, fishing rods — vary by vessel, and each yacht listing shows exactly what's included. Sportfishing charters additionally include all tackle, live bait, and Mexican fishing licenses.

Question 2

Can the menu and bar be customized?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every AZURE yacht carries an onboard chef, and your menu can be tailored to dietary restrictions, allergies, vegan, kosher, or halal needs, and children's menus — from fresh ceviche and sushi to prime steak and vegetarian plates. The open bar can also be stocked to your requests, including premium tequila, champagne, and signature cocktails.

Question 3

How do you choose which yacht to recommend?

Accepted Answer

We work with the finest vessels in Los Cabos, so the entire fleet is open to you. Every recommendation starts with your group — your guests, your occasion, and your ideal day — and we match you to the yacht and crew that fit best.

Question 4

How many guests can come on board?

Accepted Answer

Capacity varies by vessel — from intimate 12-guest sportfishers to 40-guest luxury yachts. Each listing shows its exact maximum, which is set by Mexican maritime law and cannot be exceeded for safety reasons. For larger groups, we can help match you with the right yacht or coordinate a multi-vessel charter.

Question 5

Where do we depart from?

Accepted Answer

Departures are from the Cabo San Lucas Marina or Puerto Los Cabos in San José del Cabo, depending on the vessel. Complimentary round-trip ground transportation between your accommodation and the departure marina is included with every charter. We will send your exact dock number and meeting time upon booking confirmation.

Question 6

Can we customize our itinerary?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. AZURE charters are fully private — your group decides the route. Popular destinations include The Arch, Lover's Beach, Santa Maria Bay, Chileno Bay, and the Pacific side of the peninsula. Your captain will recommend the best stops based on sea conditions and your group's interests.

Question 7

How far in advance should I book?

Accepted Answer

As soon as possible. Peak season (December–April) books out weeks to months ahead, and popular yachts go quickly. Last-minute charters are sometimes possible, so it never hurts to ask.

Question 8

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

Cancellations made 72 hours or more before your charter date receive a 100% refund. Cancellations within 72 hours are non-refundable. The 130 requires 7 days' notice for a full refund; cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable. Charters cancelled due to unsafe weather or port closure may be rescheduled at no additional cost, subject to availability.

Question 9

What happens if the weather is bad?

Accepted Answer

Guest safety is our top priority. If conditions are deemed unsafe by the captain, we will offer a full reschedule or refund. Minor chop or wind is normal in the Sea of Cortez and rarely affects the experience. Our captains have decades of local knowledge and will always make the safest call.

Question 10

Are the vessels licensed and insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every vessel and operator in our collection is fully licensed by SEMARNAT and the Mexican Navy, and carries comprehensive insurance.

Question 11

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We accept USD cash, major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), and bank wire transfers. A deposit is required to secure your booking, with the balance due before departure. All prices are quoted in USD plus 16% IVA.

Question 12

Is gratuity included?

Accepted Answer

Gratuity for the crew is not included in the charter price and is at your discretion. A tip of 15–20% of the total charter cost is customary and greatly appreciated — our crews work hard to ensure your experience is exceptional. You can tip in USD or MXN at the end of your charter.

Question 13

What should we bring?

Accepted Answer

We recommend bringing sunscreen (reef-safe preferred), sunglasses, a hat, comfortable non-marking shoes or sandals, a light cover-up, and any personal medication (including seasickness medication if prone). Towels are provided on all charters. Cameras and waterproof phone cases are always a great idea.

Question 14

Do you offer whale watching charters?

Accepted Answer

Yes — whale watching season runs December 15 through April 15, when humpback and gray whales migrate through the Sea of Cortez. Any of our vessels can be chartered specifically for whale watching during these months. We recommend a catamaran or sailing yacht for the most comfortable and stable viewing experience.

Question 15

Do you offer sunset cruises?

Accepted Answer

Yes — sunset charters are one of our most popular experiences. A typical Los Cabos sunset cruise runs 2–3 hours and departs approximately 90 minutes before sunset. The light at The Arch and over the Pacific is extraordinary. Champagne and cocktail service makes it ideal for proposals, anniversaries, and romantic evenings.
